When it comes to style, you could do worse than to trust the Italians. Case in point: Campo Marzio, a fine accessories boutique that originated in Rome circa 1933. Larry and Shannon Gillespie opened the Charleston location—the first in North America—last fall after encountering the brand during a trip to Venice. The store specializes in handcrafted, Italian leather items like handbags, portfolios, and laptop and iPad cases, as well as fine writing accessories and other pieces for the home.

It’s easy to spot a Campo Marzio handbag—and it’s not just because they’re beautifully made. “Our products are always bright and bold,” Larry Gillespie says. “For spring, we bring vibrant color to our entire collection.” Brides and grooms shopping for wedding party gifts can find a wide selection of items, from pens to business card holders, to choose from at a variety of price points.

Recently, the store debuted its exclusive line of Charleston Bags. “Each handbag is uniquely created as a one-of-a-kind design that will not be repeated,” he says. Most are priced under $200, making them the perfect wedding accessory—or, even better, a post-nuptial reward for a wedding well-planned.
