PAT Puckett has long been immersed in a world that rotates on the axis of art. It wasn’t until she left her 23-year career in interior design, however, that she was fully able to pursue her love of painting.
Using oils to capture the landscape of the Lowcountry, which has been a part of her world since childhood, she expresses her fondness for a place that clearly has a heart and soul unlike any other.
True to a life lived on the coast, Puckett has a penchant for aquas and blues, giving her paintings a vibrancy that makes them full of life. Her homes in Key West and on the marshes near Georgetown, South Carolina, have influenced her works, giving her a vast array of rich subjects to capture in paint, whether she’s working on a piece plein air or in her studio, moving the brush while the notes of jazz or beach songs play in the background.
Puckett has studied under both national and international master painters and has painted across the world. Many of her paintings now hang in prestigious corporate and private collections, and she is a member of the Oil Painters of America and The American Impressionist Society.
