THIAGO SILVA LOVES TO make his clients’ dreams come true.

THIAGO SILVA LOVES TO make his clients’ dreams come true. Having grown up working shoulder to shoulder with this father in the gunite pool industry, he fostered a passion for turning a vision—and a plan—for a pool and spa area into a reality, regardless of its complexity.

A few years ago, when Silva had the opportunity to start his own pool and spa company, he jumped in with both feet. In fact, founding Aquatica Pools & Spas was his own personal dream come true. He believed that he had a better idea: To create a company that delivers to his clients a product that is second to none in quality and attention to detail through every step of the building process, from concept and design to a client’s finished backyard paradise.

“Our vision is to build not just a nice pool, but the exact pool a client has dreamed of and envisioned for their families and friends,” states Silva, the visionary behind a revolutionary concept in the pool and spa industry. “We capture our client’s vision even if it takes extra work, extra details and extra steps. We strive to be the pool builder in the Lowcountry that truly is a custom pool company. We can handle even the most detailed and high-end projects. Our mission is to complete every project the right way, always with the goal of doing it on time and on budget.”

Aquatica offers one-on-one consulta-tions prior to construction so clients know exactly what to expect, and it offers full 3-D imaging of a project prior to contract so clients can see exactly what their proj-ect will look like upon completion.

Clearly Silva’s family-owned pool and spa company quickly caught the attention of area architects, engineers and high-end builders as evidenced by the growing number of homes in which Aquatica has left its gorgeous mark. All of the company’s pools have a luxury feel and are truly distinctive from every other backyard pool and spa found at homes in Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island, and all the way to Summerville.

According to Silva, Aquatica recently completed a backyard wonderland at a Summerville home. “The pool features a travertine decking hardscape with a 360-degree perimeter overflow spa that is unique,” he says. “Floating stepping-stones allow people to cross from one side of the pool to the other; two sun ledges allow lounge chairs to be placed right in the water for sunbathing. The owners chose to build a modern pool house poolside, which complements the area.”

While just as beautiful, an Aquatica pool on Daniel Island has a completely different look and feel. Built 12 feet off the ground, the pool deck was constructed of premium ipe decking. The pool’s infinity edge draws the eye straight through to a magnificent view beyond. “Jets at the bottom of the pool shoot water above it,” notes Silva. “That feature is really cool.”

Throughout the building process, homeowners received regular, up-to-the-minute updates from one of Aquatica’s skilled and customer service-oriented project managers. Clients can also opt to receive digital photos that document the daily progress of construction. “Many of our clients live out of state,” explains Silva. “They love getting the regular photos and contact from us because it makes them feel part of the process, even when they can’t be here. Some believe that building a pool can turn their dreams into a nightmare, but we work hard to make it fun. That’s one of the many aspects of this company that I believe sets us apart from the others.”

All of Aquatica’s pools and spas are equipped with smart technology. People racing home after a hard day to enjoy an hour or two of leisure time before bed can control their pool and spa ahead of time from their smartphone or other digital devices. Lights, water features, water temperature and even the pump speed can be controlled with the touch of a button. The pool is ready and waiting when the homeowner arrives.

“We know there are a number of companies in the area that claim to build similar products,” concludes Silva. “We believe the difference is in the execution. We promise to build every pool the right way. Our reputation and integrity depend on us keeping that promise.”*
